Vice President Yadav Calls for Constitutional Amendments to Strengthen Republic


Kathmandu: Vice President Ram Sahay Prasad Yadav has emphasized the necessity of amending constitutional shortcomings to bolster the federal democratic republic.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Vice President articulated this viewpoint in a New Year message marking 2082 BS. In his address, he highlighted the importance of advancing while safeguarding the nation’s independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and national unity.



Vice President Yadav advocated for using the federal democratic republican governance as a platform to commit to sustainable peace, good governance, and prosperity. He underscored the need to embrace the country’s longstanding diversity and unity to fulfill these aspirations.



He further stated that it is crucial to remain determined and work collaboratively for the economic development of Nepal, alongside improvements in education and health sectors. The Vice President expressed that the New Year should inspire collective efforts towards the nation’s prosperity and development, achieved through principles of morality, honesty, and diligence.
