Kathmandu: Former King Gyanendra Shah has extended best wishes for happiness and peace to all Nepali citizens within the country and abroad. In his New Year message for 2082 BS, the former king emphasized his ongoing concern for maintaining harmony among Nepalis and highlighted his sensitivity towards preventing conflicts and violence within the community.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the former king expressed his sadness over the recent incidents of violence, arson, vandalism, and demonstrations that took place in Tinkune, Kathmandu. He lamented the human and physical losses incurred during these events, underscoring the importance of peace and stability in the nation.
