Kathmandu: Chairman of CPN (Unified Socialist) and former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has reiterated that he was not involved in the land scam involving Patanjali Yoga Peeth and Ayurveda Company Nepal. Addressing the second plenum of the party’s Bagmati Province Committee, the former PM expressed the need for a thorough investigation into the land scam issue.
According to National News Agency Nepal, former PM Nepal stated that he is consulting with legal experts to prepare for a legal battle. He mentioned that the Commission for Investigation of Abuse of Authority has lodged a case at the Special Court concerning the matter. The former Prime Minister emphasized that although charges have been filed against him, he supports the investigation process and remains committed to defending good governance. He affirmed that he will challenge the charge sheet legally.
