HoR Session Delayed Amidst Stalemate Over VISA Scam Investigation

Kathmandu: The meeting of the House of Representatives (HoR) that was scheduled for today has been postponed to Wednesday at noon.

According to National News Agency Nepal, the Lower House was unable to convene at its designated time of 3:35 PM, leading to the rescheduling of the meeting to Wednesday at 1:00 PM. The delay is attributed to the inability to reach a consensus between the opposition and ruling parties regarding the resumption of the house session.

The opposition parties, including the main opposition, have been obstructing the house for several days. Their demands include the formation of a parliamentary committee to investigate the visit VISA scam and the resignation of the Home Minister to facilitate the investigation.
