Kathmandu: Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Nepal, Park Tae-Young, has highlighted the success of many Nepali youths who have returned from Korea and are now running businesses in Nepal. Concluding a K-Food Entrepreneurship Training organized in coordination with KOICA Nepal and HRD Korea, the ambassador noted that there is an objective to cultivate entrepreneurship among the trainees in Nepal.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Korean Ambassador shared inspirational stories from a book published by the Korean Embassy, featuring 50 successful entrepreneurs. He emphasized that various training programs would provide guidance to new entrepreneurs.
Country Director of KOICA Nepal Office, Kong Mooheon, expressed that there is a focus on transforming youths with work experience in Korea into entrepreneurs through specialized training programs.
Joint-Secretary at the Ministry of Labour, Employment and Social Security, Krishna Prasad Sapkota, expressed optimism that the Entrepreneurship and Rehabilitation program, supported by the Korean government since 2022, would benefit many individuals.
The training aimed at establishing Korean restaurants in Nepal saw participation from 15 individuals. During the eight-day training, Korean food experts taught participants how to prepare various types of Korean cuisine.
