Communications Minister Stresses on Political Stability for Development


Kathmandu: Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Prithvi Subba Gurung, has emphasized that political stability is crucial for the nation’s development. Speaking at a program organized on the 34th anniversary of the Centre for Self-Help Development, Minister Gurung highlighted the decision by two major political parties to form a coalition government as a step towards the nation’s development and prosperity.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Minister expressed that the country currently enjoys a stable government, urging entrepreneurs to explore new opportunities linked to economic prosperity and development. During the event, Minister Gurung presented the Micro Entrepreneurship Development Award, which includes a cash prize of Rs 200,000, to the Chhimek Laghubitta Bittiya Sanstha Limited (CBBL).



Furthermore, lawmaker Yogendra Mandal, who is also an entrepreneur, received the Shankarman Shrestha Microfinance Award, which also carries a cash prize of Rs 200,000. Additionally, Bimala Tharu, Jamuna Ghimire, and Asha Budha Magar were honored with the Best Microfinance Entrepreneur Award, each receiving a cash prize of Rs 50,000.
