Public Aspiration for Development Does Not Cease: PM Oli


Raghunathpur: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has affirmed that the public’s aspiration for development remains unyielding, as the government tirelessly endeavors to meet these expectations. PM Oli conveyed this message during a groundbreaking ceremony for the Raghunathpur-Sonma-Tarhari-Sundarpur roadway, held at Raghunathpur in Sonma rural municipality-3.



According to National News Agency Nepal, PM Oli emphasized that the government is diligently focusing on fulfilling citizens’ needs and development aspirations. He highlighted that development activities are being accelerated to ensure visibility to the public. Furthermore, he noted the continuation of the Sunkoshi-Marin Diversion project, aimed at providing irrigation in Rautahat, Sarlahi, and Mahottari districts. The Sunkoshi-Kamala Diversion is also set to advance, extending irrigation to additional districts in Madhes’s eastern belt.



The Prime Minister also reported on the progress of various infrastructure projects, including the postal highway and the expansion of the East-West Highway to a six-lane road meeting Asian standards. The four-lane road connecting district headquarters from the East-West Highway is also underway. To address drought issues in Madhes districts, the installation of 500 deep borings has been intensified. Additionally, PM Oli mentioned that international relations have been bolstered, emphasizing mutual cooperation and strengthened, trustworthy ties with neighboring countries.



Highlighting the importance of bilateral interests, PM Oli stressed that significant issues for Nepal are prioritized in discussions with neighboring countries. He also announced his upcoming visits to India and China, underscoring the importance of these relationships.



The Prime Minister further stated that Madhes Province should concentrate on educational development, ensuring a conducive atmosphere for children’s schooling. He emphasized the pivotal role of teachers in this endeavor. The event also saw the attendance of the Chief Minister and ministers of Madhes Province.
