Pokhara: The High Court Pokhara Baglung bench, which had been operating from the district court building due to the absence of its own facility, has commenced services from its newly constructed building as of Thursday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the High Court had been delivering its services from the District Court at Rudrepipal in Baglung Bazaar for the last 30 months. The move to the new building marks a significant milestone in enhancing the efficiency and accessibility of judicial services in the region.
Registrar at the Pokhara Baglung Bench of the High Court, Ram Bahadur Thapa, expressed that the new facility has made it easier to provide services and protect records. The building is well-equipped, featuring six-and-a-half storeys that are designed to be accessible for individuals with disabilities. It also includes underground parking and judges’ residences. The total cost of constructing the building was Rs 570 million.
