Kathmandu: Prof Huang Zheng Duo, Director of the Nepal Study Centre at Sichuan University, China, visited the central office of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) on Friday.
According to National News Agency Nepal, during his visit, Prof Huang expressed a keen interest in collaborating with RSS to enhance Nepal-China relations at the people-to-people level. He emphasized the opportunity for Sichuan University to work with an authentic news agency like RSS in order to further strengthen ties between the two nations.
On the occasion, Sandip Rai, General Manager at RSS, stated that promoting Nepal-China relations at the people-to-people level is a top priority for RSS. He also informed that RSS plans to appoint its representative in China in the near future.
Krishna Adhikari, Chief of the RSS Feature Section, highlighted the agency’s ongoing efforts and contributions to enhancing Nepal-China ties.
Similarly, Prasanta Kumar B.K., a PhD scholar at Sichuan University, remarked that China places significant importance on Nepal’s development.
To commemorate the visit, Prof Huang was presented with the RSS Photo Book, 2082 BS. He noted that the publication would be a valuable resource for understanding Nepal’s evolving infrastructure and rich cultural heritage.
