Kathmandu: Director of Nepal Study Centre at Sichuan University of China, Prof Dr Song Zhihui, visited the central office of the Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS) in Kathmandu and expressed interest in collaborating with RSS to strengthen Nepal-China relations at the people’s level.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Dr Song viewed the potential collaboration with RSS as an opportunity for Sichuan University to engage with an authentic news agency, thereby furthering the relationship between Nepal and China. During the visit, RSS General Manager Sandip Rai highlighted the special importance RSS places on promoting people-level relations between Nepal and China. He also mentioned plans for RSS to appoint a representative in China in the near future.
RSS Feature Section Chief Krishna Adhikari elaborated on the role RSS has played in fostering Nepal-China relations. Prashanta Kumar Bishwokarma, a PhD candidate at Sichuan University, noted China’s significant focus on Nepal’s development.
During the visit, Dr Song was presented with the RSS Photo book, 2082. He remarked that the book would serve as a valuable source of knowledge on Nepal’s infrastructure and cultural development.
