Kathmandu: Monsoon conditions are expected to remain active today, with predictions of heavy rainfall across various provinces. The low-pressure trough of the monsoon is currently positioned around its average location, which, along with humid winds from the Bay of Bengal, is likely to enhance monsoon activity.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Meteorological Forecasting Division has forecasted generally cloudy weather across the country. Moderate rainfall is anticipated in some areas of the hilly regions and select locations in the Terai. There is a specific warning for heavy rainfall in certain parts of the Terai region of Lumbini province and in hilly areas of Bagmati, Karnali, and Sudurpashchim provinces.
As night falls, cloud cover is expected to remain prevalent in the hilly regions, including Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, while other regions will experience partial cloudiness. The division predicts moderate rainfall in some places within Madhesh, Koshi, Bagmati, and Gand
aki provinces, and in a few areas elsewhere. One or two places in the hilly parts of Gandaki province and the Terai region of Lumbini province may experience heavy rainfall.
