Kathmandu: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Bhagawati Neupane, has announced that the Federal Civil Service Bill, 2080 BS, currently under discussion in the National Assembly, will be finalized soon. The announcement came during a meeting of the Legislation Management Committee, where the Minister addressed concerns raised during a theoretical discussion on the Bill.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Minister Neupane emphasized her commitment to achieving unanimous approval of the Bill. She stated that the government is open to negotiations with the parliament to resolve any issues, ensuring that both sides can reach a consensus. The Minister highlighted the importance of finalizing the Bill as a prerequisite for implementing administrative federalism effectively.
During the committee meeting, lawmakers pointed out errors and weaknesses in the Bill that originated from the House of Representatives. Committee President Tulasha Kumari Dahal assured the members that efforts would be made to conclude the Bill promptly, even if it requires holding regular meetings to address the 193 amendment proposals submitted in the Upper House.
