Tianjin: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, currently attending the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) Summit in Tianjin, China, today explored the Rice Core Planting Area located in Huiguan Village. During his visit, Prime Minister Oli was briefed on the production of JD 939 paddy seeds and the innovative pilot projects aimed at integrating agriculture with tourism and education sectors.
According to National News Agency Nepal, following his visit to the rice planting area, Prime Minister Oli toured the Zhau Eenlai and Deng Yingchao Memorial Museum situated on 9 Shuishang Park West Road in Nankai District. Zhau Eenlai, a notable figure in the Chinese revolution, served as a former Premier of the People’s Republic of China.
Accompanying Prime Minister Oli during the visit were First Lady Radhika Shakya and other members of the Nepali delegation. Prime Minister Oli’s visit to Tianjin, leading the Nepali delegation to the SCO summit, comes at the cordial invitation of Chinese President Xi Jinping.
