UML Intensifies Preparation for Statute Convention

Lalitpur: The CPN UML has intensified preparations for its second statute convention. The general convention to dwell on the party statute is slated for September 5-7 at Godawari, Lalitpur.

According to National News Agency Nepal, standing committee member and publicity department chief Rajendra Gautam informed that tasks like stage management and gathering information on representatives are progressing smoothly. Gautam shared that 2,349 persons, including 2,033 representatives, will be attending the conclave. These representatives were part of the 10th general convention; however, due to deaths, departures, or disciplinary actions, some positions remain unfilled as per party rules.

Secretary at UML Central Office, Dr. Bhishma Adhikari, stated that all representatives received invitations via SMS on Sunday. The convention will focus on the slogan, “Decisive national power is our resolution: Prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali is our destination.” Three major documents-political, organizational, and statute reports-are being printed for discussion during the event.

Furthermore, reports from the election commission, discipline commission, account commission, and advisory council are also in print. Identity cards for the representatives have already been printed and are accessible online. Attendees entering the Sunrise Hall at Godawari must scan their cards via QR code at the entry point.

The welcome gate is being prepared by members of sister organizations and local committees of the party at Satdobato, Lalitpur.
