Two Fatal Accidents in Nepal Leave Two Dead and Two Missing


Naugadh: An 11-year-old girl lost her life, and two individuals went missing after an auto-rickshaw accident led the vehicle into the Naugadh River at Shaukebagar of Naugadh rural municipality-5 today.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the District Police Office confirmed the death of Aruna Dhami in this tragic incident. Chhatra Bahadur Rawat, the information officer and police inspector, reported that two people remain unaccounted for in the river.



The auto-rickshaw, registered under the number Ma 1 Ha 1148, was traveling from Hoparigadh to Dhuligadha when it plunged into the river. The identities of the individuals who are missing have yet to be established. Police teams have been dispatched to the scene to conduct search operations for those missing. The driver of the auto-rickshaw, Maniram Bhul, has been detained for further investigation, while his 17-year-old son sustained injuries. Five people, including Bhul, were in the vehicle during the accident.



In a separate incident, another life was claimed when a bus collided with a motorcycle in Chitwan on the same day. According to the District Police Office, Chitwan, the collision occurred between a bus (Ga 1 Kha 4140) traveling to Lamjung from Narayangadh and a motorcycle (Ga 12 Pa 6992) coming from the opposite direction. The motorcyclist suffered severe injuries and was declared dead upon arrival at Chitwan Medical College in Bharatpur. The identity of the deceased motorcyclist has not yet been confirmed, as stated by Rabindra Khanal, the office information officer.
