Lalitpur: The entire preparations for the ruling CPN (UML)’s Second Statute General Convention have been completed. The UML is set to hold its Statute General Convention from Friday in Lalitpur.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the chief of the party’s publicity department, Rajendra Gautam, announced that Prime Minister and UML Chairman KP Sharma is scheduled to inaugurate the event. The convention will see participation from 2,026 representatives and 315 organizing committee members.
Gautam further disclosed that Chairman Oli will present the party’s political report while Vice Chairman Bishnu Prasad Paudel will present the statute amendment proposal report. In addition, General Secretary Shankar Pokhrel will present the organizational report during the convention. These reports will be subject to groupwise discussions among attendees.
Moreover, the conclave will also discuss reports from the election commission, discipline commission, account commission, and advisory council. The party has established a slogan for the gathering: ‘Decisive national power is our resolution: Prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali is our destination’.
