Lalipur: President of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), Rabi Lamichhane, was released today from Nakkhu Jail in Lalitpur. Jail Chief Satyaraj Joshi stated that Lamichhane’s release was intended to maintain order and prevent the situation from escalating, as a large number of protesters gathered to picket the prison.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Lamichhane, who is also a former Home Minister, had been in custody in connection with a cooperative fraud case. His release comes amidst growing tensions and public interest surrounding the case.
