Kathmandu: Former President Bidya Devi Bhandari has emphasized the importance of adhering to constitutional provisions in the formation of a new government. In a press release issued on Thursday, Bhandari highlighted that the Prime Minister’s resignation, tendered in response to the GenZ protest, has already been accepted. She pointed out that, with both the President and elected institutions still in place, it is crucial to move forward with a political course that aligns with constitutional directives and resonates with the demands and spirit of the GenZ population.
According to National News Agency Nepal, former President Bhandari expressed her sorrow over the loss of life and property during the protest. She called for a comprehensive investigation into the factors that led the demonstration to escalate into violence, which resulted in significant damage.
