166 Escaped Inmates Recaptured by Security Forces in District


Hetauda: As many as 166 inmates who had escaped from various jails across the country have been arrested by security personnel in the district. A joint team comprising the Nepali Army, the Armed Police Force, and the Nepal Police took them under control from various parts of the district.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the District Police Office, Makwanpur informed that of the total inmates taken under control, 78 had fled from Bhimphedi jail and four from Child Correction Home of Makwanpur, seven from Nakkhu jail, and two from the central jail of Kathmandu. Additionally, one inmate was captured from Kaski jail, two from Tanahu jail, and 35 others from jails that remain unspecified.



The coordinated efforts of the security forces have led to the successful recapture of these individuals, ensuring enhanced safety and security in the district.
