Kathmandu: The Nepal Overseas Exports Imports Association has urged all its members as well as non-member traders to contribute to maintaining a smooth supply chain amid the current challenging circumstances. In a press statement issued on Friday, the Association called on all concerned stakeholders to cooperate in ensuring the uninterrupted supply of goods. It expressed concern that the country’s economy could face further crisis if private sector operations were not provided with a safe and supportive environment.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Jayant Kumar Agrawal, General Secretary of the Association, appealed to the authorities to facilitate the supplies of essential service providers during prohibitory orders and curfews. He also called for ensuring the smooth transportation of essential goods, including medicines, food, milk, drinking water, fruits, vegetables, and petroleum products.
