Two Arrested for Alleged Vandalism and Robbery in Banke

Banke: Police have arrested two individuals for allegedly vandalizing and looting government offices in Banke. Deputy Superintendent of Police at the Banke Police, Deepak Patali, informed that Shalikram Pathak, President of the Community Police of Jayaspur, and Deepak Tamata were arrested on the charge.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Pathak was arrested from his house in Jayaspur, Nepalgunj, while Tamata was held from Surkhet. Pathak was reportedly involved in arson and vandalism, while Tamata was involved in robbery.

Their arrests came a few days after the district administration and district police, along with other government offices, issued a notice requesting evidence, proof, videos, and other materials showing involvement in arson, vandalism, and robbery in government offices.

During recent protests in Nepalgunj, dozens of government offices were set on fire and vandalized.
