Kathmandu: The Nepal Press Union Valley Province Committee has lit lamps in memory of those who lost their lives during the ‘Gen Z’ protests on September 8 and 9. The provincial committee today observed a moment of silence and illuminated memorial lamps at Maitighar Mandala in the federal capital, Kathmandu.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the ‘Gen-Z’ protests evolved with demands for reopening the suspended social media, ending corruption, and establishing good governance, accountability, and transparency. So far, 73 people have lost their lives during the protests.
