Kathmandu: Minister for Home Affairs, and Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Om Prakash Aryal, has directed the Armed Police Force (APF) to operate in the field with high morale and motivation. Addressing a programme held after inspecting the APF Headquarters at Halchowk, Home Minister Aryal recalled the APF Nepal’s efforts in overcoming challenging situations since its establishment. He stressed, “There is no greater duty than to save the lives of the Nepali people.”
According to National News Agency Nepal, the Armed Police Force of Nepal has been active in various critical areas under the directives of prioritization, including border security, revenue collection, disaster management, maintaining border pillars, and controlling cross-border crime. Efforts are also focused on curbing illegal smuggling, human trafficking, and the transportation of arms and drugs, as outlined by Home Minister Aryal.
Inspector General of APF, Raju Aryal, highlighted that the Armed Police Force of Nepal is committed to providing security in line with public expectations. It remains dedicated to the service and safety of the state and its citizens, maintaining its reputation and public trust through discipline and duty-bound operations at both national and international levels.
Inspector General Aryal further emphasized the effective role of the Armed Police Force in supporting the state’s economy by controlling revenue leakage and promoting legitimate trade. He expressed confidence that expanding manpower and increasing the number of border outposts could lead to further achievements in these areas.
