Agriculture Minister Pariyar Assumes Office, Proposes New Coordination Committee


Kathmandu: Newly appointed Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development, Dr. Madan Prasad Pariyar, assumed his office today. While taking charge at the ministry in Singh Durbar, he proposed the formation of a coordination committee to implement a previously made agreement for research in potato and rice crops between Nepal and Korea.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the committee will be led by the Secretary at the Ministry to oversee the coordination work. After assuming office, Minister Pariyar spoke to journalists and expressed his commitment to making efforts in the agricultural sector.



Minister Pariyar emphasized the government’s commitment to administrative reform and preventing mismanagement. He also pledged to contribute fully to fulfilling the current government’s mandate to achieve these reforms and conduct elections.
