Woman Injured in Arson Attack During Gen-Z Demonstrations Dies


Kathmandu: A woman who was seriously injured in the arson that occurred amid the Gen-Z demonstrations on September 9 has passed away. Shoshila Devi Hazara, 45, of Sakhuwa Prasauni Rural Municipality-2 in Parsa, succumbed to her injuries while receiving treatment at the Burn Hospital in Kirtipur, Kathmandu. Hazara was injured during the arson attack at the residence of Nepali Congress central member Anil Rungta, where she was employed as a maid.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the spokesperson of the District Police Office, Parsa, Kishore Lamsal, confirmed that Hazara died on Monday. Additionally, 18-year-old Binaya Yadav from Bihar, India, was also injured in the same arson attack and is currently undergoing treatment at the same hospital.
