Kathmandu: Two Nepali athletes will compete in the World Para Athletics Championship. The championship, which begins the next day, runs until October 5 in India.
According to National News Agency Nepal, in the men’s category, Himal Aryal will compete in the F-55 category shot put, while in the women’s category, Prabha Angdembe will compete in the T-47 category long jump.
President of the Para Athletics Association of Nepal, Omnath Shivakoti, and Secretary Sangbu Bhote are part of the managerial team. Member Secretary of the National Sports Council, Tanklal Ghising, wished success to the team and bid farewell to them at a programme held on Wednesday.
The team is scheduled to depart for India tomorrow, while President Shivakoti will leave after some days.
