Kathmandu: The government has announced plans to establish the Gen-Z Clinic in the Kathmandu Valley and other cities across the country to provide medical treatment for individuals injured during the Gen-Z protests on September 8 and 9. These clinics aim to offer specialized care under the Ministry of Health and Population, facilitating the identification and treatment of injured persons.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the clinics will be integrated into certain hospitals, with focal persons from the Ministry of Home and the Ministry of Health and Population appointed to oversee the treatment process. The Home Ministry issued a statement indicating that specialist doctors from respective hospitals will lead task forces to classify the injured individuals for appropriate medical intervention.
Additionally, a help desk will be operational at the Home Ministry starting September 28, designed to support the identification and treatment of those affected by the protests. The Home Ministry, in collaboration with the designated hospitals, will arrange ambulances to ensure the injured receive necessary follow-up care.
