Nepali Army Successfully Rescues 56 People Trapped During Dashami Festival in Janakpur


Janakpur: The Nepali Army has successfully rescued 56 individuals who found themselves trapped when a tableau collapsed during the Dashami festival cultural fair in Janakpur. The incident occurred on Friday night within the premises of the Mata Rajdevi Temple, where the tableau was being paraded as part of the celebrations.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the rescue operation was led by the Nepali Army and supported by various security agencies. This collaborative effort ensured that all those trapped were safely rescued. The fair, organized during Bijaya Dashami, is managed by the Mahavir Youth Committee and the Shriram Youth Committee, among other organizations.



The Nepali Army reported that a joint team, which included the Armed Police Force and Nepal Police, played a crucial role in the rescue operations. The team utilized JCBs and cranes sourced from different agencies to facilitate the safe recovery of all trapped individuals.
