Sarlahi: Two youths lost their lives and another sustained injuries in a motorcycle accident on Friday night at Brahmapuri rural municipality-5 in southern Sarlahi, along the Postal Highway.
According to National News Agency Nepal, police confirmed that Ankit Chaudhary, 23, and Rohit Sahani, 25, both residents of Brahmapuri rural municipality-2, were killed in the accident. The accident occurred when a Scorpio SUV with an Indian number plate, MH 04 DJ 1297, traveling from Parsa to Bhelhi, collided with the motorcycle carrying the three youths.
The injured individual, Shiva Shankar Pundit, 23, is currently undergoing treatment at LS Neuro Hospital in Bara, as stated by Deputy Superintendent of Police Saroj Rai. The collision resulted in Chaudhary and Sahani being pronounced dead upon arrival at Ramjanaki Hospital in Janakpur.
Police have taken custody of both vehicles involved in the accident. However, the driver of the Scorpio fled the scene and is currently being sought by authorities.
