Bhaktapur: Bhaktapur Municipality gave a ceremonial welcome to the foreign tourists who first entered the Bhaktapur Durbar area today, in commemoration of the World Tourism Day.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Mayor Sunil Prajapati welcomed six visitors from India, one from Austria, and two from the United States by presenting them with scarves, the traditional Bhadhagaunle caps and bags, bouquets, and the wooden replicas of the ‘Mayur windows’.
On the occasion, Mayor Prajapati stated that the Bhaktapur Municipality will focus on infrastructure development and implement various promotional programs to enhance tourism in the area.
