Kathmandu: The Civil Aviation Authority of Nepal (CAAN) has imposed restrictions on flying kites, drones, and balloons in the vicinity of Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). This measure aims to ensure the safety of flight operations in the area.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Managing Director at the airport, Hansraj Pandey, stated that the recurring activity of flying kites, drones, and balloons near the airport has been banned due to potential threats to flight safety. He emphasized the importance of adhering to these restrictions to maintain safe operational conditions for flights.
Pandey urged the public to refrain from engaging in such activities, as they could seriously compromise the safety of flight operations. He also warned that legal action would be taken against individuals who violate these rules, reinforcing the CAAN’s commitment to safeguarding aviation safety in the region.
