UML Secretariat Meeting Concludes with Strong Objection to Government Actions

Kathmandu: The Secretariat meeting of the CPN (UML) has concluded.

According to National News Agency Nepal, party Deputy General Secretary Pradeep Gyawali stated that the meeting, held under the chairmanship of party chair KP Sharma Oli, concluded that the incumbent government should not pursue political revenge.

Gyawali shared that the government is attempting to impose restrictions without coordinating with political parties. The meeting strongly objected to the government’s decision to ban party chair and former Prime Minister Oli and four others from leaving the Kathmandu Valley and going abroad.

He also mentioned that the UML plans to convene another secretariat meeting for further discussions on contemporary issues immediately after the Dashain festival. Additionally, the party’s central committee meeting has been scheduled for October 13-15.
