Kathmandu: Three persons died and two others sustained injuries in a bus accident that occurred in Salyan district this morning. A microbus (Lu 2 Kha 6502), traveling from Banphikot of Rukum Paschim to Tulsipur, met with an accident at Kapurkot-3 in Salyan district, as reported by Resham Khatri, Police Inspector at the District Police Office, Salyan.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the individuals who lost their lives in the accident were identified as Pabi BC, 67; Prakash KC, 27; and Sashidhar KC, 30, all from Banphikot-5 of Rukum Paschim. They died on the spot. The two injured individuals, Khagendra KC, 47, and Dina KC, 36, also from Banphikot rural municipality, were seriously injured and have been referred to the Teaching Hospital, Banke, after receiving initial treatment at Rapti Provincial Hospital, Tulsipur.
The microbus reportedly slid 300 meters down the road, leading to the tragic incident.
