‘Newborn Future Protection Programme’ Becomes Effective in Bhojpur

Bhojpur: ‘Newborn Future Protection Programme’ run by Pauwadung rural municipality in Bhojpur district is becoming effective. The rural municipality has been regularly distributing Rs 500 to every newborn until they turn five years old to ensure a bright future for babies born here.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief Administrative Officer of the rural municipality, Nabin Bhattarai, stated that an arrangement of depositing the amount for every child through the banking system has been made. The rural municipality introduced this programme through the annual policies and programmes of the fiscal year 2080/81 for the guarantee of a bright future for the children.

The programme, which aims to secure the future of children and prepare a capable next generation, has been effective, remarked Kiran Rai, Chairperson of the rural municipality. Additionally, the rural municipality has continued various health sector programmes, including free ambulance service to pregnant women, new mothers, senior citizens, and infants referred from maternity hospitals.
