Bhojpur: The Bhojpur-Leguwa route, which connects Bhojpur to the Terai districts, has resumed one-way operation from today. The 66-kilometer route, a major link between Bhojpur in Koshi Province and the Terai region, had been earlier closed due to safety concerns, as it had reported landslides and cave-ins caused by incessant rainfall. Police stated that the road was considered high-risk for accidents during the rainy period.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Deputy Superintendent of Police at the District Police Office, Bhojpur, Raju Lama, said that efforts are also underway to remove debris from a large landslide at Shirdali along the Deurali-Chakhewa section of the Mid-Hill Highway so as to restore it soon.
