Kathmandu: A meeting of the National Security Council was held on Monday under the chair of Prime Minister and Chairperson of the National Security Council, Sushila Karki. The 40th meeting took place at the Council’s Secretariat in Singhadurbar, focusing on a comprehensive review of the current international, regional, and national security situations.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Secretary of the Ministry of Defence and Council’s Member-Secretary, Suman Raj Aryal, issued a press statement following the meeting. Key attendees included Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal, Minister for Energy Kulman Ghising, the government’s Chief Secretary Eak Narayan Aryal, and Chief of Army Staff Ashokraj Sigdel. The gathering was aimed at assessing and discussing strategies to address various security challenges facing the nation.
