Lahan-based Area Administration Office Resumes Service Delivery

Lahan: The Area Administration Office in Lahan has resumed the passport issuance service, which was disrupted after the vandalism and arson that occurred during the Gen-Z protests of September 8 and 9. Chief of the Office, Bednidhi Khanal, confirmed that the formal service to provide passports to the service seekers was resumed beginning Monday after the installation of the necessary electronic devices.

According to National News Agency Nepal, Chief Khanal stated that the service recipients will now receive full-fledged services for passport issuance starting today. The office currently issues passports to up to 50 individuals. To facilitate the resumption of services, the office received crucial equipment, including a computer set, scanner, QR reader, signature pad, stand, and camera from the Department of Passport.

The office had suffered damages to its physical properties worth Rs 1.5 million due to the incidents.
