Tihar Fosters Unity and Harmony: NA Chair Dahal


Kathmandu: Chairperson of the National Assembly, Narayan Prasad Dahal, has expressed his optimism that the Tihar festival of 2082 will promote mutual harmony, tolerance, and robust national unity. In a congratulatory message issued today, he conveyed his conviction that Tihar will enhance family gatherings and foster social and cultural cohesion, as well as national unity.



According to National News Agency Nepal, Chairman Dahal emphasized the significance of Nepal’s diverse heritage, highlighting its multi-ethnic, multilingual, and multicultural attributes. He pointed out that the federal democratic republic, established through the sacrifices and struggles of the Nepali people, has fortified internal nationality. Moreover, it has acknowledged the historical cultural festivals of various ethnicities, religions, and communities as national celebrations.



Dahal remarked that these varied rituals, cultures, and festivals are not just the shared heritage of the nation but also serve as vital foundations that unite the people culturally and emotionally.
