Kathmandu: Minister for Health and Population, Dr. Sudha Sharma Gautam, today visited individuals injured during the September 8-9 Gen Z protest who are currently receiving treatment in hospitals. The Minister visited Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj, Kathmandu Medical College (KMC) in Sinamangal, and the National Trauma Centre to check the health status of the injured.
According to National News Agency Nepal, 11 Gen Z protesters injured during the movement are being treated at various hospitals across the country. Of these, four are at the National Trauma Centre, three at TUTH, two at KMC, one at B and B Hospital, and one at Nobel Medical College in Biratnagar.
“The injured are receiving proper treatment. The condition of some patients is improving, while some are still in a critical state,” Dr. Sharma told the media. She assured that every effort would be made to provide quality care to the injured.
Dr. Sharma also emphasized the importance of the movement, expressing her hope that the efforts would not be in vain. She urged individuals opposing the movement to refrain from actions that could disrupt the election atmosphere.
