Mumbai: The schedule of the ICC T20 World Cup to be held in 2026 has been made public today. The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule by dividing 20 participating teams into four different groups.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the ICC T20 World Cup is taking place from February 7 to March 8, 2026, in India and Sri Lanka. As per the schedule, Nepal is placed in Group ‘C’. All games for Nepal have been scheduled in Mumbai, India. The group also includes West Indies, England, Bangladesh, and Italy. Notably, West Indies and England have each won the ICC T20 World Cup title twice.
Nepal is set to play against England in its first game on February 8, 2026, in Mumbai. The second match will be against Italy on February 8, followed by matches against West Indies on February 15 and Bangladesh on February 17, according to Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN).
CAN had requested the ICC to arrange all games for Nepal in India. CAN Chairman Chatur Bahadur Chand stated that the ICC accepted this request, ensuring that Nepal’s games are scheduled in India. This marks Nepal’s third appearance in the ICC T20 World Cup following their participations in 2014 and 2024.
