Muscat: The Nepali Embassy in Muscat has organized a program focused on labor awareness and financial literacy for Nepali workers, providing them with essential information.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the event held on Friday educated Nepali workers on the use of artificial intelligence in daily life, maintaining physical and mental health, the social security fund, permissible and prohibited activities in Oman, worker awareness, and financial literacy. The initiative aimed to promote a safe and productive lifestyle among the workers.
Additionally, a camp offering passport and consular services was set up during the event. A team of doctors from Al Sama Hospital conducted a free health camp, offering basic health services to those unable to take leave or traveling from distant locations. Attendees expressed satisfaction with the comprehensive services provided on a public holiday.
Ambassador Dornath Aryal highlighted that the 11th meeting of the Standing Committee on Development Diplomacy took place with representatives from Nepali associations in Oman. The meeting addressed the embassy’s role, policy reforms, stakeholder initiatives for Nepali workers’ welfare and rescue, and strategies to boost tourism, investment, trade, and employment opportunities.
Furthermore, the president of the Non-Resident Nepali Social Club, Suresh Khadka, presented a memorandum to Ambassador Aryal, proposing a review of relevant policies.
