Nepal: Nepal lost today’s first match held under the ACC U-19 Asia Cup Cricket at The Sevens Stadium in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. After losing the toss to Sri Lanka, Nepal was invited to bat first and set a target of 83 runs by scoring 82 in 28.5 overs, losing all their wickets in the process.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Sri Lanka comfortably reached the modest target of 82 runs, scoring 83 runs in just 14.5 overs with the loss of two wickets. With this victory, Sri Lanka secured a win against Nepal, making an impressive start to their tournament campaign.
Nepal, placed in Group B, is scheduled to face Bangladesh in their next match on Monday. The tournament, which began on December 12, includes teams from Nepal, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, India, Pakistan, host UAE, and Malaysia.
