Kathmandu: Nepali Congress President, Sher Bahadur Deuba, and party leader Shekhar Koirala held a meeting today to discuss the party’s upcoming 15th general convention, according to Koirala’s personal secretary, Dinesh Chandra Thapaliya.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the meeting took place at President Deuba’s residence. During the discussions, Koirala highlighted issues related to the distribution of forms without any numbers by the Active Membership Distribution Committee to various districts, which he mentioned has been causing problems within the party. Koirala urged Deuba to address this by sending new, properly numbered forms to the districts.
Additionally, Koirala requested that Deuba lift the punishments imposed on certain party leaders to enable their participation in the upcoming general convention and election. NC leader and former Minister Dr. Minendra Rijal accompanied Koirala during the meeting.
