Kathmandu: Office-bearers of the high-level judicial inquiry commission met with Prime Minister Sushila Karki today. During the meeting held at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers at Singha Durbar, the office-bearers urged the Prime Minister to extend the term of the commission by one month, according to the PM’s Secretariat.
According to National News Agency Nepal, Commission Chair Gauri Bahadur Karki stated that leaders of political parties would be summoned for a statement next week. The inquiry commission was established following a cabinet meeting decision on September 21, with the purpose of investigating incidents that occurred during the Gen-Z movement on September 8 and 9, 2025.
