HoR Election: Completion of Ballot Paper Printing for FPTP Category in 60 Constituencies


Kathmandu: The Election Commission (EC) has announced the completion of ballot paper printing for the first-past-the-post (FPTP) category in 60 constituencies. Assistant Spokesperson at EC, Kul Bahadur KC, shared with RSS that a total of 7.26 million sheets of ballot papers have been printed in preparation for the direct election of the upcoming House of Representatives election scheduled for March 5. Furthermore, the packing of printed ballot papers for 25 districts has been completed thus far.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the printing process has been finalized for most areas, with only a few districts in Karnali and Sudurpaschim Provinces pending. Overall, a total of 20.32 million sheets of ballot papers are needed for the FPTP category of the election. The ballot papers for the proportional category have already been printed, with the printing operations being conducted at the Janak Education Materials Centre. The EC has prioritized districts in remote and mountainous regions for the distribution of these materials.



Preparations are underway to ensure that all printed ballot papers reach their respective destinations by February 15, facilitating the smooth conduct of the elections.
