Kathmandu: Leader of the CPN (UML) Parliamentary Party, Ram Bahadur Thapa ‘Badal’ has demanded an impartial investigation into the incidents of destruction of public property, vandalization of physical structures, and arson attacks that took place during the Gen Z uprising on September 8 and 9, 2025. Speaking in the first meeting of the first session of the House of Representatives today, he called for a thorough investigation and alleged that the violent activities during the movement were carried out in a planned manner.
According to National News Agency Nepal, UML Vice Chair Thapa congratulated the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) for securing victory in the election and emerging as the largest party in parliament. He acknowledged that although the election to the House of Representatives placed the UML as a smaller party, they are prepared to move forward by facing challenges head-on.
