Ambassadors Hold Joint Courtesy Call on PM Shah


Kathmandu: Ambassadors and Heads of Diplomatic Missions resident in Kathmandu paid a joint courtesy call on Prime Minister Balendra Shah at his Office in Singha Durbar today. The meeting was attended by representatives from various countries, including India, Pakistan, Republic of Korea, United Kingdom, Qatar, Switzerland, France, Israel, Japan, Bangladesh, Germany, Egypt, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, China, United States of America, and the United Nations.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the Ambassadors and Heads of Missions extended their congratulations to Prime Minister Shah and conveyed greetings and messages from their respective heads of state and government. They expressed their support and cooperation to the new Government in its efforts to deliver results for the benefit of the people of Nepal.



Prime Minister Shah reiterated Nepal’s commitment to a balanced and pragmatic foreign policy. He emphasized the importance of strengthening relationships with immediate neighbors, friendly countries, and development partners based on trust, mutual respect, and shared prosperity. He also expressed gratitude for the ongoing goodwill and support for Nepal’s development initiatives.



The Prime Minister highlighted the priority of maintaining peace and underscored the Government’s focus on the safety, security, and wellbeing of Nepali workers and the broader Nepali diaspora abroad. He also outlined the Government’s determination to ensure good governance, achieve economic development, and improve the livelihoods of the Nepali people.



The meeting was also attended by Foreign Affairs Minister Shisir Khanal, Political Advisor to the Prime Minister Asim Shah, Chief Secretary Suman Raj Aryal, Foreign Secretary Amrit Bahadur Rai, and other Government officials.
