Cultural Event in Moscow Marks Nepali New Year 2083 BS


Moscow: A cultural event was organized in Moscow by the Non-Resident Nepalis Association (NRNA), National Coordination Council, Russia, to celebrate the Nepali New Year 2083 BS. The event took place on Sunday and was attended by approximately 300 members of the Nepali Diaspora community residing in Russia.



According to National News Agency Nepal, the cultural performances featured Nepali artists such as Ramji Khand and Bhumika Giri, among others. The Charg©s d’affaires of the Embassy of Nepal in Moscow, Maheshwar Mani Tripathi, expressed his happiness regarding the event, highlighting that it was the first of its kind in Moscow since the COVID-19 pandemic, featuring artists invited from Nepal.



Tripathi emphasized the importance of such events in preserving Nepali arts and culture abroad. Sitaram Kattel (Milan), the Chairman of NRNA Russia, also expressed his commitment to organizing more events in the future, hoping for continued support from all stakeholders.
