Ljubljana:Kaligandaki River The swollen Kaligandaki River has swept away a motorable bridge on the Beni-Jomsom-Korala section, severing the connection between Naulibagar of Bhurung-Tatopani and Pokharebagar of Annapurna Rural Municipality-6.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the transportation route to Mustang has been cut off due to the destruction of the bridge. Bharat Kumar Pun, Chairman of Annapurna Rural Municipality, reported the incident.
In addition to the bridge, a house was buried at Phagam and another at Giwang village, with search efforts ongoing for two missing individuals following a landslide. The incessant rainfall has also caused significant erosion in the Khambhitta area along the Beni-Jomsom roadway.
Furthermore, the Nilgiri Basic School in Annapurna Municipality-4 has suffered damage from the rain-induced disaster.
