Parbat:Floodwaters from the Kaligandaki River have swept away five houses in Farse and Lasti Bazaar of Jaljala Rural Municipality-8, Parbat, leaving several other homes at risk.
According to National News Agency Nepal, the chairman of the Rural Municipality, Raju Acharya, stated that residents from vulnerable areas have been evacuated to safer locations. The rising waters have also led to erosion along the riverbanks in various districts, including Myagdi, Parbat, and Baglung.
The situation has raised concerns among the local population as the Kaligandaki River continues to pose a threat to the area.
